You might feel a little bit nervous before and during your first lesson, but don't worry I'm here to support you!

1. Provisional License

Before we start your first lesson, you must have a provisional license and you can do that by going here, you have to be at least 15 years and 9 months old before applying.

2. You Won't Be Thrown In The Deep End

You've got your provisional, great! When you have your first lesson, I will drive us to a quiet road with minimal traffic and you will learn around these roads first and learn the safety procedures, like checking mirrors and blind spots.

3. Choose The Best Shoes

On your first few lessons, you would learn about the clutch and how to use it and it's probably best to wear flat shoes with thinner soles, like Converse style trainers, so you can feel the car feedback. But no high heels or bare feet!

4. Are You A Night Owl or Early Bird?

Everyone has a different body clock, so if you naturally stay up late and wake up late, it may be best to book a lesson later in the day instead of trying to wake up early. You learn better when your brain is fresh and awake.

5. And Finally... DON'T worry about your mistakes! Messing up a little can only help you improve and know what to do and how to do it. Ask lots of questions so you can learn as much as possible!
